About Magali and Rodolfo.
Magali was born in Lyon, France, from a French mother and a Sicilian father. Her father was a guitar player and a singer and her brother is a Cuban Percussionist so she grew up surrounded by music and dancing, especially to Latin Spanish and Brazilian rhythms.
She has a ballet and Modern Jazz background. Her passion is Cuban Salsa and other Latin dances. She now specializes in teaching Cuban Salsa to adults and to kids in schools.
Magali is also a Nia and Zumba teacher. Nia is a movement technique that combines dance, martial arts and yoga and helps people increase their level of fitness, their range of movement and self-awareness. Zumba is a vibrant dance workout to a variety of mainly Latin rhythms, including the brazilian Samba.
Rodolfo was born in La Havana, Cuba. He was born into a family of dancers. His grandfather won prizes for dancing Son, a traditional Cuban dance Salsa originates from. As a child, Rodolfo won many Caribbean rythms dance competitions. He is also a very good Reggaeton dancer, a music and dance style that are very popular among the younger generations all over Latin America. His musical knowledge and culture of the roots and history of Salsa are impressive. He was teaching Salsa to tourists in Cuba when he decided to move to the UK last year. He brings all his Cuban flavour, body movement technique and understanding of the Salsa rhythms to our classes. Rodolfo 's forte is how good he is at breaking down even the trickiest of combinations. He will get you dancing like a true Salsero/a in no time!
